Welcome to the ScaleFactor Platform! The platform is designed to enable you to easily access your KPIs, manage your financial information and connect with your ScaleFactor team. Below are instructions and tips to help you use the Platform in the following ways:

ScaleFactor Insights Xero Integration

ScaleFactor Insights uses your Xero file to generate a free cloud KPI dashboard!

Your free cloud KPI dashboard displays cash runway, days sales outstanding, accounts payable balance, month over month revenue and more! Create A Message

You can use the Platform to send a message to your ScaleFactor team. To create a new message, simply follow the steps below:

  1. Select  "Messages" in the Navigation Bar at the top of your screen
  2. Click the Pencil Icon in the top right corner to open a new message
  3. The Default Subject Line will be "New Ticket" -- you can update this as you would any email subject
  4. Write your message
  5. Send using the blue icon

*You can send messages to your ScaleFactor team through the Platform as well as from your personal email. 

Add An Attachment

Need to add an attachment? No problem! 

  1. Hover your mouse over the blue send icon to reveal a gray icon
  2. Click the gray paperclip icon
  3. You will be prompted to select your attachment


Keep your financial information on-hand with your Digital ScaleSafe. ScaleSafe is a secure way to keep your important financial information organized and available on the go. You can simply drag and drop documents, or upload them by browsing your machine to select a file. 


Your KPI Dashboard houses key financial metrics for your business. In addition to displaying your current financial metrics, you can also contact your ScaleFactor team by creating a new message or scheduling a call. 

Cash Runway: The length of time in which a company will remain solvent before running out of money.

Accounts Payable Balance: The amount of short-term debt payments a business needs to make to its creditor(s)

Days Sales Outstanding: A measure of the average number of days that a company takes to collect revenue after a sale has been made

Monthly Revenue: Total monthly income

Setting Up Xero Integration

To setup Xero for ScaleFactor Insights, follow the steps below:

1. Create a ScaleFactor Account with your Company Name and Email Address.

2. Fill in your Company Information

3. Connect your Xero Account

Getting Started

  1. You will be asked to login to your Xero account
  2. You will then be asked to authorize the ScaleFactor Insights application to connect to your Xero file. 
  3. Once completed you will be brought back to your ScaleFactor Dashboard
  4. You will be have the option to view KPIs in a graph format or a raw number format:

  • You can then choose how you would like to continually get these KPI updates by setting your Communication Preferences (see below). You can adjust these under "Settings" at any time.

You can Disconnect from Xero in the ScaleFactor Portal under "Settings" (see right).

How do I disconnect from Xero? 

You will need to login to the ScaleFactor Portal, then navigate the left hand option for settings. There will be a disconnect button you can use there.

What is the purpose of the ScaleFactor Insights Integration?

The ScaleFactor Insight integration is to provide you key insights into your accounting system to show you data not readily available to most business owners.

How much does this integration cost?

With the ScaleFactor Insights integration there is no charge. It is a tool to show you the heart beat of your business. ScaleFactor can be contacted if you need help with any of your financial or accounting systems to get work completed.

How often is my data synced?

The ScaleFactor insights tool is synced every hour and the charts are updated daily to reflect any changes to the accounting system. 

Can I get more KPI’s added to the dashboard?

Yes – ScaleFactor is working to add more customer insights as we realize what data is available through other connected sources in the future.

Yes – ScaleFactor can be contacted by clicking on the Services section of the navigation and you can have several choices to gain help from ScaleFactor.
